HOW TO ADD AN ISLAND BENCH TO YOUR KITCHEN

When renovating your home, there are so many things to consider. Colour theme, required appliances, finishings, layout, budget, and contractors, just to name a few! Because of all these considerations, it’s understandable that sometimes things can be overlooked. But, what do you do when you’ve forgotten a major part of your renovation – such as the location of your plumbing?

One family planned their kitchen layout, design, appliances, everything and then realised that they really wanted to change something in the layout. The location of their sink and dishwasher. Instead of installing their kitchen along the wall as planned, they decided to create an island bench! Perfect for socialising and moving about the kitchen, an island bench is ideal… until you need to plumb it and its location is too far from the plumbing outlets. Thankfully, there was a solution. The family builder contacted Saniflo and inquired about their products to easily and quickly fix the issue. With the Sanivite greywater pump, the island bench including sink and dishwasher was made possible! All without needing to uproot the almost-complete design and cut into the concrete slab flooring.
